Assignment 2:Proposal : CTX VIDEO SUMMARY
Title : Saga
SYNOPSIS:
This version of Hang Tuah provides a bit of changes where Hang Tuah is portrayed as a young female warrior in the 21st century instead of the traditional story of Hang Tuah. In the modern world is where the Ormins exists, a creature that resembles exactly like normal people that kidnap humans and eats the flesh of human that can also be able to posess humans into one of the Ormins.
Saga is set in an alternate reality where humans and bunians are cooperating together in their way of life and form a new nation of Malanda. However, there is another creature that has been called as Ormins, carnivorous and cannibal parasite who like to live inside go human and possess them, hiding their true nature in the day time but craving for human flesh in the middle of the night.
Andita Mahmud is a new student in Malanda Taylor’s University after decided to transfer there from her old college although her father had been given advice not to continue her studies there because it is dangerous for her. On her first day in Taylor’s University, Andita stumbled upon a piece of paper on the floor which is one of the posters of a missing student that were shown on the news board. As she walks into her class, she entered the class to find out there is nobody inside until she saw one girl named Jamila Jebat who’s busying doing work at the back of the class. After introducing herself to Jamilah, they become really close friends after a few weeks being classmates together
After a few weeks, Andita feels something is wrong and very mysterious with Jamilah. She finds that Jamilah’s behavior is quite unusual and weird towards her but she tend to ignore it. Until one day after class, she received an email from an unknown person which is a video and a message that said “Jauhi Jamilah sebelum kau sesal aku mohon jauhkan diri kau dari dia. Selamatkan diri kau!” As she felt disturbed by it, she replied and ignored the email as she thought it could be spam. As the evening goes by, Andita heard a creepy music that has been played on Jamilah’s laptop and noticed that Jamilah was sniffing her while looking at her with a terrifying smile while she was doing her work and it reminded her about the email she read earlier. As Jamilah was doing her work, without her knowing, Andita put on her earphones and watched the video quietly. The video shows the behind the scenes of a group of students interviewing themselves after filming a horror scene and it turns out Jamilah was in the video. At the end of the video it shows Jamilah was being possessed and roughly strangled one of her group members.
After watching the video, Andita finds out that Jamilah was not there in her seat and wondered where she went. As she turned around, Jamilah was right beside her while smiling. Andita quickly ran to the door to run away from her but without a sight Jamilah was already there at the door and sniff her. Andita screamed and pushed Jamilah to the ground and ran out from the class. Few weeks after the horrifying incident, Andita did not meet with Jamilah instead she spend researching on what creature that possessed her friend and how to save her from that. She later finds that a creature called an ‘Ormin’ matches with what possessed Jamilah and the only way to stop is to kill her with a special weapon that was made centuries ago. A flashback came to her when her father gave her a weapon that was as exact same as the one she researched, a day before her first day in university which shows that her father knew all along that this situation is going to happen in the future. Immediately, she went into the drawer to find the weapon that she kept to kill Jamilah in order to save her. She went inside the class and find Jamilah sitting at the corner of the room in the dark mumbling unclear words. Jamilah attacked her and Andita managed to stab her at the back and successfully killed her. The scene ends with Andita crying and apologizing to Jamilah for killing her with a black screen that shows the title “Saga” which there will be a sequel for this.
